It has been a few days since I have been weighing on about what my first official blog shall be titled, what the content of it should be. I have been reading a research paper on 'Information overload' and also I have been spending a lot more time on reddit than I used to. So, I have been very much conflicted about whether it should be regarding the research paper, ie, the business world and its inefficiency towards how information is consumed or regarding one of the multiple posts I have seen on reddit. Inspiration is everywhere but at the same time no where. Hence I decided I am just gonna write about how the human mind works in relation to the concepts of a few things such as inspiration, drive, procrastination e.t.c.
This blog is no reference or a guide for self improvement in any manner rather just some random facts about how the human brain works and how the uniqueness yet no originality exists but the mere concept that is extremely subjective due to the underlying inability to comprehend and deduce information. These are all based upon my pre-existing research and my deductions, ie, what we call personal opinions. I know some of you may have already been slightly inclined towards not reading this blog any further but I am referring to the Kardashev Scale and it suggests that our civilization is a type 0.7. The Kardashev scale basically is where the efficiency is measured in relation to the potential we actually have, I am somewhat basing the lack of us not even reaching our potential to be a type 1 civilization on the fact that we as humans don't understand ourselves or the things that are around us yet we believe to be as smart as can be. Quoting Neil deGrasse Tyson "Its not knowledge of aliens would behave, its actual knowledge of how we have behaved" when he was mentioning about the fact that all of Hollywood depicts aliens as evil.
Here is the relation to how these semi unrelated things actually relate to each other. Firstly, we have existed for about 10 millennia with the proper human form (homo-sapiens-sapiens) yet we still can not fathom the fact that dinosaurs lived a lot longer than us and how does that play a role to how we think? Does it not, we can't even co-relate two things that have been stated almost every time and see the duration as a surprise every time it is mentioned. This is just how bad we are at comprehending and deducing information, this lack of ability then transfers on to us not understanding how procrastination works and why is an inspirational drive important for us to overcome procrastination.
For the readers that do not exactly understand how procrastination works; it is when we delay any task for as long as possible and maybe even till we end up not completing it ever. Honestly, I have been a procrastinator for a major part of my life and I personally never really had the drive or the urge to do said tasks on time, there was never really anything that seemed worth doing on time or even as soon as possible because of how exiting it was to just relax and there was no sense of pressure. As time went by I still never really had any pressure to do the task till I actually bailed out on a lot but as I had something that I understood would reward me, I started working on things better and sooner.
Inspiration isn't exactly something that I could define for you, for me in the context of writing this blog is nothing but the fact that it is gonna help me develop my personal growth whether it be increasing my discipline for general tasks or even improve my typing speed or better even improve my linguistic skills. I, for one, do believe that the most important thing that we as humans could do to improve our understanding of the world is to be constantly looking at ways to improve ourselves as individuals. Henceforth, improving the total upstanding of the society but back again it goes to how we lack the ability to understand the core concepts of learning and developing ourselves.
As it is with inspiration being subjective to everyone and their personal wants demands, I think that if we somehow develop ourselves in a way to understand what drives us, it would be a lot better and easier for us to get through phases that hold us down to not achieve the best of what we can.
